Security Officers

Role and Responsibilities
Security Officers are tasked with protection duties. The duties of potential security officers will require the following:
- Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas

- Patrol designated areas in accordance with the outlined security procedures outlined
- Monitor alarms and security cameras

- Performing building inspections as well as guarding the entry-exit points
- Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (Access control)
- Identify potential safety & security risks and respond accordingly

- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents

- Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas promptly and according to policy

- Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have

- Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed


Preferred Skills
Certifications in Security Operations (internationally recognized certificates) are considered an advantage (Security Officers who do not possess such certifications will have the opportunity to further their skill set through our Training Academy’s courses)


Port Facility Security officers

Role and Responsibilities
Port Facility Security Officers are responsible for the protection of people, properties, and information at the port. Port Facility Security Officers should be familiar with specific threats and hazards at the port as well as systems of providing security. Namely, the duties of the Port Facility Security Officers will be:
- Development, implementation, revision, and maintenance of the port facility security plans
- Liaise with the port authorities, Ship Security Officers (SSOs), and Company Security Officers.
- Protect the people, properties, and information at the port
- Patrol of port facilities
- Surveillance and monitoring of designated port areas
- Incident response and coordination with the local authorities
- Reporting and recording occurrences in the daily occurrence book
- Access control
- Inspections over port-related assets 


Preferred Skills
Certification in Port Facility or Maritime Security Operations (accredited MSO, IMO 3.24 or PFSO, ISPS Code certificate) is considered an advantage (Port Facility Security Officers who do not possess such certification will have the opportunity to further their skill set through our Training Academy’s courses)



Maritime Security Professionals

Role and Responsibilities
Maritime Security Officers serve in purpose and action to detect and prevent security threats that may affect ships or port facilities against unlawful interference. Namely, the duties of the maritime security officers will be:
- Access control
- Security inspections and patrols
- Safeguarding transport from unlawful interferences and offshore facilities
- Administrative services
- Conduct security and vulnerability assessments for vessels and port facilities. 


Preferred Skills
Certification in Maritime Security Operations (accredited MSO, ISPS Code certificate) is considered an advantage (Maritime Security Officers who do not possess such certification will have the opportunity to further their skill set through our Training Academy’s courses)
